Welcome to the CUD Foundation    

We are setting up this Foundation to provide Medical Assistance, supplies and other needed items for your child(ren) in need. We have a child with some major medical problems (See Douglas' Story Here) and a lot of people have came  forward to help us, in return, we are here to help others. Like our child, there are many with more than one problem, when this happens, the medical expenses become greater. We are helping others receive treatments, surgeries and helping the families with their expenses, such as travel, hotels, care products for home and whatever else makes the child comfortable and helps the parents with the financial burden of the care. This Foundation is called: "Charity for Children with Unique Disorders", however, we will help any child with any problem as funds become available. Keep in touch with us by checking the web site for updates. We are planning trips, having fund raisers, and other activities to help the children. If you have any questions or special needs, please contact us.  We will help with whatever we have available.  We can also help organize a fundraiser for you and your child, and will be glad to do so. One of our main areas of focus is the Hemangioma, a lot of Insurance Companies will not pay for Hemangioma treatment. We have found what we believe to be one of the best doctors in this field and want to help others get these treatments.

Another reason for us starting this up is to help get the word out about different Medical issues and Provide a place for Parents and others to get Information.  We were lost at first, never thought much about these conditions or notice them until it happened to our child. At first, we kept it quiet, kind of an embarrassment, but as the situation got worse, we decided to look for help in other areas. Then it is the scramble to find out all you can about it. Douglas's Mom and Dad (I am one of those) ask our self all the time at first, "Why our Child?" "Why would this happen to such a precious Baby?". I do believe everything happens for a reason. I do believe the reason was so that we would start this Foundation and Help others. If that is the reason, we are trying to fulfill it. We will do this to the best of our ability.  Through Financial assistance, Moral Support, Research, Guidance and any other resources available. We will also research and try to connect you with other families with similar conditions for support and guidance. It does not have to a condition that is on this site, we will help with any condition a child has. To all you Dads out there, if you need another Dad to talk with, Call me, I will help.

We are in the process of building up this Foundation, we have a lot of support and volunteers involved, your donations are appreciated and very helpful.
